Baking soda also helps to maintain the pH level of the skin and control excess production of oil. The mask is easy to make as only baking soda and water are required. First, wash the face with lukewarm water to open the pores. Then in a bowl take about one tablespoon of baking soda and little water to make a paste. Then apply it in the affected areas of the skin. After 10 minutes, wash it off with cold water. This process should be followed twice every week

Oatmeal is used to absorb the excess oil that our body produces and helps to unclog the pores and exfoliates. It also has antioxidants and anti inflammatory properties. Pour half cup of hot water over a cup of oatmeal and let it cool down completely. After that apply it over the blackheads and gently massage before cleaning it off with lukewarm water. This should be applied daily for the best result.

Turmeric contains both antioxidant and anti inflammatory properties which will be beneficial for removing blackheads. Then this paste is to be applied over the bumps and let it soak and dry for 10 minutes before washing off with lukewarm water. It is advised to use daily to treat blackheads permanently.

Toothpaste and salt: One of the well-known ways to clear blackheads is by using toothpaste. Mint toothpaste is often used to make the mask as it helps to kill the bacteria and clear the pores. Whereas salt is used as a disinfectant and has a coarse texture. Toothpaste and salt do not mix together making it a good scrub. With two tablespoons of toothpaste, one tablespoon of salt should be mixed. Then apply this mixture on the area of the blackheads and let it dry for few minutes before massaging the face gently. After that wash the face and apply ice to close the pores. This process can be repeated once every week.
